Gear progression in Diablo 4 gets much easier once you understand the difference between an item's normal affixes and its Legendary Aspect. The affixes sit at the top of the item window and cover familiar bonuses such as Dexterity, Energy regeneration, Poison Resistance, or extra Evade Charges. Imprint the Right Item
When the Aspect is safely stored, visit the Occultist. You can imprint it onto a strong Rare item or replace the Aspect on another Legendary item. This is where smart planning pays off.
